NUN'S ISLAND BRIDGE

Description

Stability analysis of deep I beams for the Nuns Island temporary bridge. The I beams are unstable under their own weight. The objective was to devise an installation procedure that would reduce to a minimum the requirements for cranes on site. A stability frame was designed. It enabled the beam to be self standing onto the abutment and pier. The erection procedure for MTQ approval was prepared.
